During the month of November, a box will be available for these items.
For the month of November, St. Paul’s United Methodist Mission team will provide an opportunity for you to support the needs of Veterans in Iowa County as well as surrounding counties. In this effort, we are partnering with the Cedar Rapids HACAP Operation Home project to improve the housing stability of homeless Veterans. We want to collect new kitchen, bed and bath items for these folks. See the list of items needed on the missions bulletin board in the sanctuary. You may also provide financial support with a donation specific to this project.
Since 1993, Samaritan’s Purse has delivered shoebox gifts to more than 113 million children around the world. Shoeboxes and information pamphlets are available in the Sanctuary. After choosing whether your gift will be for a boy or girl, and the age category, you will fill your box with a variety of gifts and $9 for shipping. Bring your boxes back to the church by Sunday, November 17th. You can also build your shoebox online at www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/buildonline/. It’s a simple and easy feature to use.
